Andreas Pereira |
Manchester United youngster Andreas Pereira was the star of the show for Brazil in
their Under-20 World Cup win over Hungary.
Pereira came off the bench for the young Brazil side
and sparked the revival as they came from a goal down to claim the 2-1 win in
the latter stages.
The midfielder supplied the corner from which Danilo
headed home from, before accepting the responsibility to take the penalty kick
which was awarded minutes from the end.
Periera's influence ensured that Brazil have already
qualified from Group E of the competition, with a fixture against North Korea
still to come before the knockout stages.
At the end of last season, the 19-year-old was named
the Denzil Haroun Reserve Player of the Year at United and spoke about his
progress.
He
said: "I think it's because I keep working hard and keep believing in
myself.
The people at United, the staff, trust in me and give
me feedback and help me. It’s a consequence of hard work."
