Martin Odegaard came off the Real Madrid bench to become the
club’s youngest ever first team player during their end-of-season clash with
Getafe in La Liga.
Ronaldo was replaced
in 58 minutes by 16-year-old midfielder Martin Odegaard who becomes the
youngest debutant in Real Madrid's history and he showed some bright touches as
Real played out the final minutes of their season – one which has not delivered
trophies but has shown once again what a phenomenal goal-machine they have in
Ronaldo.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick in Real Madrid's 7-3 win over
Getafe to take him to 61 for the season and move him to within just 10 goals of
becoming the club's all-time top scorer.
It was his seventh league treble of the season and meant that he
finished the campaign with 48 league goals. The 61 he has in all competitions
bettered his previous record-haul which came in the 2011-12 season when he got
60. And it left him 10 goals behind Raul as the club's all-time top scorer. The
legendary club captain got 323 goals in 741 games; in just 300 Ronaldo has 313.
