PRESIDENT NKURUNZIZA IS A FOOTBALLER AND STRIKER

President Pierre Nkurunziza of Burundi has been photographed playing football as protests continue over his bid to run for a third term in office.

Mr Nkurunziza was playing in his daily kick out with friends in the capital, Bujumbura.

NKURUNZIZA FOOTBALL FACT:

*Nick named as "East Africa's Footballing President".
*Is a qualified football coach.

*He also coached the army football team, Muzinga, as well as Union Sporting, a Burundian     first division team in the 1990s.

*Plays as a striker and scores regularly.
*Has his own football team called Haleluya FC.

*He never travels without his own football team and a choir.
