Arda Turan joined FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona have confirmed the signing of Arda Turan from
Atletico Madrid.
Manchester United and Chelsea had
both been linked with moves for the Turkish midfielder - but he has put pen to
paper on a five-year contract, with the transfer fee thought to be around
€35million.
He will not be in competitive
action for the Catalans until January next year, due to the transfer embargo
the club currently find themselves under.
It is a blow for Diego Simeone,
after Turan established himself as a key part of his team at the Vicente
Calderon.
