KCB famous win over Sofapaka
Chrispinus Onyango grabbed a brace in either side of the half to
steer KCB to a shock 2- 0 win over fancied Sofapaka,in a 2pm kick off league
match at the Nairobi City Stadium on Saturday.
The win is a major boost to KCB
who are fighting tooth and nail to evade the chop after distasteful run the
first leg.
Onyango found the mark in the
fifth minute and completed his brace in stoppage time,robbing Sofapaka defender
Willis Ouma of the ball at the edge of the area before lobbing David Okello
with a delightful finish.
In the afternoon, Sofapaka were
poor and the bankers spurned an opportunity to make it 3-0 via a penalty
in the 63rd minute when Ouma who had a rather awful afternoon handled in
the box.
The outcome hauled the bankers
points tally to 16,while also presenting a chance to champions and leaders Gor
Mahia to go 15points clear of Sofapaka should they win on Sunday against
Mathare United.
