Harambee Stars claimed a 2-0 victory over a stubborn South Sudan in their second game of the Genocide Commemoration Cup played on Sunday in Kigali just a day after a 0-0 draw with hosts Rwanda.
Skipper Victor Wanyama broke the deadlock from the penalty spot sending South Sudan keeper the wrong way for Kenya’s first goal in the first half.
Kenya went into the break leading and upon resumption coach Bobby Williamson run changes bringing on Michael Olunga who had just arrived from a trip to Kisumu where his side beat Tusker 1-0 to remain firmly patched at the apex of the Kenyan premier league.
Michael Olunga made it 2-0 in favour of Harambee Stars after a fine inter play and a cool finish from the lanky striker.Harambee Stars were relentless holding on to the two goal to set up a thrilling final against Rwanda Amavubi on Monday at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
Kenya are using the tournament as preparations for their   2017 Africa Cup of Nations preliminary qualifier  away  against Congo Brazzaville on Sunday 14 June away in Congo.

Ian Otieno (GK), Charles Odete, David Owino, David Ochieng, Anthony Akumu, Victor Mugabe, Francis Kahata, Ayub Timbe, Paul Were, Allan Wanga, Evans Maliachi.
